Dr.Sankaran has always been extremely interested in music and in the past he has done Homoeopathic provings with some ragas. So we thought of doing some more experiments with music, since we all know that music is also can be applied in the healing process.
For a year now, we have been trying to experiment with music as a part of the treatment. What we are doing is that we call a patient and make him play on an instrument (we’ve have a keyboard). We tell them to play the music which comes spontaneously, nothing heard or learnt. The patient plays for around 15-30 minutes and then we instruct them to note down all the symptoms which they experience (mental, physical, dreams) in the following 2 days. After 2 days the patient is called again and we make him listen to the music he played in a quite room. After listening to which he again notes all the symptoms.
After this process we study all the symptoms experience and we have seen that with some patients they revive the most painful experiences of their lives which they had forgotten for years. And that entire experience of experiencing that situation helps us a lot in understanding the patient and ultimately to come to remedy. Also we saw in some patients that the music they play acts to extent as a healing agent itself! It could be possibly understood on the basis of the fundamental law of Homoeopathy, Law of Similars i.e.like cures like.
